Hello Everyone!
We are here in Zomba – all 8 of us! It is good to be together again and hear how God has blessed both parts of our team! The team in Blantyre (Gregg, Jeremy, Christina and Reannah) had an amazing time working with the Malawian teachers. We exchanged ideas and learned about their Why Wait? Curriculum (an AIDS prevention/life skills program) and shared teaching strategies they could integrate into their program. The teachers in the workshop were ‘the best of the best’! We even had Headmasters and Headmistresses of schools in attendance! We made many new friends there, making it difficult to leave, but we were also excited to meet up with the other half of our team.
Our time together in now in Zomba so far has consisted primarily of revisiting a village of Go-Go Grandmothers, a preschool in a local village and visiting some of the local sites. Visiting the villages in particular reminds us of how necessary it is for us to be here and how great the need is. It makes us very thankful for what God has provided for us at home. As we come to our final week here, we look forward to following up with some of the teachers we have trained and discussing ways we can continue to help Malawi when we return home. For now, we are thankful that so far, God has kept the team safe and healthy. We appreciate all the comments and the continued thoughts and prayers and look forward to seeing all our friends and family next week!

God Bless!

Greetings Dear Friends & Family,

Kids around the World Teacher Training was awesome yesterday. We are all still healthy & feeling your prayers. We continue to visit villages & the Early Childhood Development Centers. We are blessed but overwhelmed with the warmth & need of these beautiful people! Please continue to pray for all of us. Soon we (Zomba Team) will be reunited with the other half of our Team (Blantyre Team).
Thanks so much for your continued prayers! We love & miss you!   Chad (the Birthday Boy!), Thersa, Jim & Deb

we're on the move
Probably heard that our luggage almost made it.  The team split up into two yesterday and last status was one of Gregg's bag only one missing.  As you know totl different culture here.  Went to Makungla today and visite ECD center.  Awesome time.  Have a work day scheduled with Saddleback tomorrow and I'll o0robably do a flannelgraph story also.  Our time has been inspiring so far.  We all went to Irene's church Sunday am (6:30) service.  If they were in SA we'df seriously consider going there.  Not rteally but what an awesome time of worship and two messages.  They have about 2500 people attend and there VBS has about 2500 kids with 40 volunteers.

Safe In Johannesburg!
Mood:  celebratory

Dear friends and family,

Thank you for your prayers! We have made it to South Africa along with most of our bags. :) We are missing four bags -- 2 personal and 2 supply bags. Please pray that these bags make it to Blantyre and also pray that the rest of our bags and the team make it safely.  We will be leaving Joburg at 4:00 our time and hope to be in Blantyre tonight. We look forward to hearing from you and reposting more info when we arrive in Malawi! By the way - for Thersa's dad -- she is A-okay! Thank you again for your prayers!

God Bless!
The Team
